The exhibition presents more than thirty works from museums and collections in Spain, Italy, France, Britain, Mexico, Switzerland, Hungary and the United States, including The Resurrection of Lazarus—a painting acquired by the Museo del Prado in 2001 and whose attribution, widely discussed at the time of its acquisition, is generally accepted today. The two main series Ribera produced during those years (the Apostles and The Five Senses) are also represented, as are the more complex compositions executed in Rome and Naples.
CEEH and the Center for Spain in America (CSA) are contributing to this exhibition by sponsoring the catalogue.
