Urjasz-Raczko, Matylda
Matylda Urjasz-Raczko studied History at the universities of Warsaw and Burgos. She earned her PhD from the University of Warsaw with a thesis on the process of construction of the vision of the Polish-Lithuanian Republic by the Spanish diplomats of Philip II. She collaborates with the latter institution on research and teaching activities, focusing on the Polish and Spanish contacts as the differences between East and West. She has conducted archival research in Spain, Austria, the Czech Republic and Italy. She has organised exhibitions and is the author of numerous articles on the sociocultural differences between the Polish-Lithuanian Republic and the Spanish Monarchy in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century diplomacy.
