Tito Rojo, José
José Tito Rojo has been curator of the Botanical Garden of the University of Granada. His main lines of research are the gardens of Al-Andalus, the historiography of gardens and the origin of the modern garden in Spain, subjects on which he has published more than 100 studies. He has authored and co-authored many projects on the creation and restoration of gardens in Spain, Italy and various Arab countries, twelve of them designated Cultural Interest Sites. He is also a member of the international scientific committees of the Fondazione Benetton Studi Ricerche and ICOMOS-IFLA (Cultural Landscapes section) and has presided over the scientific committee of the European Route of Historic Gardens of the Council of Europe.
