Edward J. Sullivan is the Helen Gould Sheppard Professor of the History of Art at the Institute of Fine Arts and the Department of Art History at New York University. He received his doctorate at NYU with a dissertation on late Baroque painting and has published extensively on the art of the Iberian world on both sides of the Atlantic.
