Carlos Morán Sánchez holds a PhD in Archaeology from the University of Extremadura and works at the Instituto de Arqueología in Mérida (CSIC). His research work has been centred on the historiography of archaeology, on which he has published Piedras, ruinas, antiguallas. Visiones de los restos arqueológicos de Mérida (s. XVI a XIX) (2009) and Fernando Rodríguez: dibujos de arquitectura y antigüedades romanas (2015, with A. Pizzo).
