Ascensión Mazuela-Anguita lectures at the International University of La Rioja and is Alan Lomax Postdoctoral Fellow at the John W. Kluge Center of the Library of Congress. She was awarded a special PhD prize by the University of Barcelona (2012) and the prize of the Sociedad Española de Musicología, which led to the publication of the monograph entitled Artes de canto en el mundo ibérico renacentista (2014). Her lines of research include music and women in Spain in the Early Modern Age, music and urban festivities, and new technologies applied to musicological research.
