Marías Martínez, Clara
Clara Marías Martínez, who holds a degree in Spanish Language and Literature, receiving a special prize on graduation, and a master’s in Spanish Literature, completed her doctoral thesis on Pensamiento clásico y experiencia autobiográfica en la epístola poética del primer Renacimiento at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. She has been a research fellow at the universities of Oxford and Edinburgh; and in 2012–14 she won the Horstmann prize, was awarded a scholarship from DAAD, and taught at the University of Münster. She is currently a research fellow at the Fundación Menéndez Pidal in Madrid, for which she is editing a volume of the Romancero tradicional de las lenguas hispánicas. Her main fields of interest are poetry, the history of reception, and the history of ideas in the Golden Age.
