Oriane Lavit graduated from the École du Louvre (2014), where she specialised in the history of drawing. She won the 2016 heritage conservation competition organised by the Institut national du patrimoine and served a stint at the Museo Nacional del Prado, where she studied the holdings of French drawings. After compiling a report on the painter Horace Le Blanc (c. 1575−1637), she is now carrying out research on Lyonnaise painting of the first half of the seventeenth century. She is a curator at the Centre de recherche et de restauration des musées de France (C2RMF), Restoration Department, Painting Section.
