Bru, Ricard
Ricard Bru holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Barcelona and lectures at the Universitat Autònoma in Barcelona. His main fields of research are Catalan art of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and its links with Japan. He has curated more than a dozen exhibitions, such as Imágenes secretas. Picasso y la estampa erótica japonesa (2009), Japonismo. La fascinación por el arte japonés (2013), Carteles de la vida moderna (2021), Hamada & Artigas. Los colores del fuego (2021) and Kataezome. El legado artístico de Serizawa Keisuke (2023), and has written numerous articles and monographs, including Erotic Japonisme. The Influence of Japanese Sexual Imagery on Western Art (2013) and Josep Llorens Artigas. Records d’un ceramista (2022).
