Bouillon, Jean-Paul
Jean-Paul Bouillon is Professor Emeritus of Art History at the University of Clermont-Auvergne. He has written around 170 scientific articles on European art, and some fifteen books, including texts by art critics (Goncourt, Zola) and artists (Kandinsky, Denis), monographs on Maurice Denis (1993 and 2006) and Gustav Klimt (1986), as well as summaries on Art Nouveau (1985) and Art Déco (1988). Bouillon has also been translated into several languages. He is, among other things, a specialist in the work of Félix Bracquemond (1833–1914), on whom he has published extensively (2003, 2004 and 2005).
