Mónica del Álamo Toraño studied Humanities and Journalism at the CEU San Pablo University in Madrid. She was granted a Marqués de Lozoya scholarship and received both a special degree award and the San Isidoro de Sevilla research initiation award. She earned a master’s degree in Education from the UNED and is currently a secondary-school teacher of Language and Literature. She is preparing her doctoral thesis at the Universidad Autónoma in Madrid on G. K. Chesterton’s detective novels.
