The exhibition, curated by José María Lanzarote Guiral, has provided an insight into this painter, collector, bibliophile and traveller who put his artistry to the service of his scholarly undertaking to document and protect national heritage. Since opening in September at the Biblioteca Nacional de España this show has attracted over 22,000 visitors. The catalogue that accompanies it remains as a reference book on Valentín de Carderera and his work.
