The CEEH sponsors a doctoral scholarship at Durham University
The scholarship is underwritten by the CEEH in association with the Zurbarán Centre for Spanish and Latin American Art, established by Durham University at Bishop Auckland, thanks to the support of Santander Universities and The Auckland Project. The successful candidate will preferably study Spanish art of the Golden Age and its legacy in Britain and the rest of Europe up to the 19th century. Commencing in the academic year 2021/22, he or she will have the opportunity to collaborate with the curators of the neighbouring Spanish Gallery, that will open to the public as the first museum in the UK dedicated to Spanish art.
