Launch of Karin Hellwig’s book Aby Warburg y Fritz Saxl descifran «Las hilanderas» at the Goethe Institut in Madrid
Hispanist Karin Hellwig launched the latest publication in the Velázquez series, Aby Warburg y Fritz Saxl descifran «Las hilanderas», on Thursday 29 February at the Goethe Institut in Madrid in a conversation with Juan Luis García, senior lecturer at the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid. The launch (organised with the collaboration of CEEH and the Museo Nacional del Prado) was introduced by the director of the institute, Dr Antonia Blau, and was also attended by Javier Portús, senior curator of Spanish Painting at the Museo del Prado and the author of the long foreword, who spoke from the audience.
