Presentation of Jean Canavaggio’s Les Espagnes de Mérimée in Tours
The Réseau Odon de Cluny association is organising a presentation of Jean Canavaggio’s Les Espagnes de Mérimée in Tours on Friday 18 September as one of the events of Les 18 Heures de Saint-Julien. The author will give a lecture at the church of Saint-Julien, which was once part of a Benedictine abbey founded by bishop Gregory of Tours that passed to the French state in 1846 thanks to the involvement of Mérimée, then inspector of Historical Monuments. Canavaggio’s latest book Diccionario Cervantes, published by CEEH, is due to hit the shops in a few weeks’ time.
