Exhibition «The Spanish Gesture Drawings from Murillo to Goya» in the Hamburger Kunsthalle
Meadows Museum, Dallas 25 mayo - 31 agosto 2014
The Hamburger Kunsthalle holds one of the most significant collections of Spanish drawings found outside of Spain, containing works by Alonso Cano, Bartolomé Esteban Murillo, Juan de Valdés Leal and Francisco de Goya y Lucientes, among others. This is the first exhibition to present the exquisite collection on a large scale, 123 years after they were purchased. As part of the continued collaboration between the Meadows Museum and the Museo Nacional del Prado, the jointly organized exhibition will present around 80 drawings, first in Dallas, then Madrid.
The Centro de Estudios Europa Hispánica and the Center for Spain in America (CSA) participate in this project by contributing to the cataloguing of this splendid collection.
