Hidalgo Caldas, Beatriz
Beatriz Hidalgo Caldas holds a PhD in art history from Trinity College, Dublin. She combines an interest in contemporary art, to which she has devoted a number of papers, with studying drawing and its teaching and uses in eighteenth-century Spain, as well as collecting in the period. These aspects are examined in her latest publications: “The Cabinet Room, Artworks on Display. Exhibiting and Preserving Works on Paper in Madrid c. 1750–1816” and “A originalidade técnica no desenho de Goya e seus contemporâneos. Abordagens sobre o desenho na segunda metade do século XVIII”. She currently works in the studio of Antonio López, taking part in various exhibitions and publishing projects.
