Albert Recasens, who holds a degree in Musicology from the Catholic University of Louvain, studied piano, conducting, choral singing, the history of music, and composition in Barcelona, Bruges, and Ghent. Through La Grande Chapelle, of which he has been artistic director since 2007, he carries out important work to recover Spain’s musical heritage, ranging from excellent scientific research to performances. The Lauda label, which he founded in 2005, has been awarded many prizes by specialist critics for its work.
