Petri, Grischka
Grischka Petri teaches Art History at the University of Bonn (Germany). He holds doctorates in Art History and Law, and has trained as a lawyer. His research interests include the relationship between art and law, the history of art copyright, and nineteenth-century art and art history. He is co-author of the online catalogue raisonné of Whistler’s etchings (Glasgow, 2011). In the area of European transnational art historiography he has published a number of essays on the artists August Strindberg, James McNeill Whistler, and Diego Velázquez, and scholars such as Julius Meier-Graefe and Carl Justi.
