Boesten-Stengel, Albert
Albert Boesten-Stengel studied Art History, Philosophy, the History of Literature, and Classical Archaeology at the universities of Aachen, Florence, and Fribourg, and earned a PhD under Professor Forssman. He is professor of Art History at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (Poland). He has been visiting professor at the Charles University in Prague and at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. He has focused his research on Italian painting, sculpture, and drawing in European collections. He has also published various studies on the methodology of art history and the history of terminologies, as well as the reception of antiquity.
