O’Reilly, Terence
Terence O’Reilly is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies, University College Cork. Although he has also written on spirituality in the Middle Ages, his principal field of research is sixteenth- and seventeenth-century Spain, especially the history and influence of its religious thought. He has written extensively on the influence of Erasmus in Spain, as well as on Santa Teresa de Ávila, San Juan de la Cruz, and Fray Luis de León.
