Julia M. Vázquez is a Ph.D. candidate at Columbia University, where she is completing a dissertation titled The Artist as Curator: Diego Velázquez, 1623-1660. She holds an M.Phil. (2013) and an M.A. (2012) from Columbia, in addition to a B.A. (2009) from Brown University. Currently, she is the Hilla Rebay International Fellow at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Museo Guggenheim Bilbao, and the Collezione Peggy Guggenheim. Previously, she has held internships and fellowships at the National Gallery of Art, the Meadows Museum, the Museo Nacional del Prado, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Musée du Louvre.
