CEEH has signed an agreement with the Biblioteca Nacional de España (BNE) to catalogue its collection of French and Flemish illuminated manuscripts. Thanks to a scholarship created by CEEH, a Doctor of Art History specialised in medieval miniatures will carry out a systematic study of these holdings of the BNE, the most important of their kind in Spain, for a year. The research will give rise to a catalogue raisonné to be published in 2020 in connection with an exhibition of the most prominent pieces in the collection.

This project is part of a series of actions promoted or supported by CEEH to study and disseminate the illuminated manuscripts and drawings by Spanish artists in the Biblioteca Nacional de España, continuing with the collaboration between the two organisations which has been ongoing since 2011.
