Pinceles insurrectos: las mujeres artistas del XIX (Insurgent brushes: female artists of the 19th century), a study day held in connection with the Drawings of Rosario Weiss (1814‒1843) exhibition
Estrella de Diego, professor of art history at the Madrid’s Complutense University, is coordinating a study day in connection with the exhibition on Rosario Weiss on view at the Biblioteca Nacional de España until 22 April. Through two lectures and three roundtables, art historians, curators and artists examine the role of female artists in the 19th century and analyse how they blazed a trail for those who subsequently followed in their footsteps.
Organised by the Biblioteca Nacional in collaboration with CEEH and Fundación Lázaro Galdiano.
