Ruiz Gómez, Leticia
Leticia Ruiz, who holds a doctorate in Art History and a degree in Restoration, is head of the Department of Spanish Renaissance Painting at the Museo del Prado. She was in charge of restoring and studying Vicente Carducho’s series on the Carthusian order for the charterhouse of El Paular and the group of works by Juan Correa de Vivar. She has published various studies, including Catálogo de las colecciones históricas de pintura veneciana del siglo XVI en el Real Monasterio de El Escorial (2001) and El Greco en el Museo Nacional del Prado. Catálogo razonado (2007). She has also curated many exhibitions, among them Bodegones y floreros barrocos en el Museo del Prado (1999), El retablo del colegio de Doña María de Aragón: cuatrocientos años del Greco (2000), El retrato español en el Prado. Del Greco a Goya (2006), Juan Bautista Maíno (2009) and El divino Morales (2015), all at the Prado, as well as at other venues such as Juan Correa de Vivar (Toledo, 2010).
